Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 8, 2026
The short version: the GambleBlur extension collects nothing. It has no servers, no accounts, no analytics, and no trackers. Everything the extension does — including all AI analysis — happens locally on your device, and no browsing data ever leaves your machine. (This informational website uses basic anonymous analytics; the extension does not — details below.)

What GambleBlur does

GambleBlur is a Chrome extension with a single purpose: it detects gambling-related content on web pages (text, links, ads, and images) and blurs it in place. Ambiguous content is classified by Gemini Nano, the AI model built into the Chrome browser itself, which runs entirely on your computer.

Data we collect

None. GambleBlur does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data of any kind. Specifically, it does not collect:

How page content is processed

To do its job, GambleBlur reads the text and images of pages you visit — but this processing happens entirely inside your browser, on your device:

No page content, no image, and no URL is ever sent to us or to any third party. GambleBlur makes no network requests to any server operated by us — because we don't operate any.

What is stored on your device

Uninstalling the extension removes all of it.

Permissions, explained

Third parties

The extension uses none. No third-party services, SDKs, analytics providers, or ad networks are included in the extension. The AI model (Gemini Nano) is a component of the Chrome browser itself, provided by Google as part of Chrome, and runs offline on your device.

This website (not the extension)

This informational website uses Microsoft Clarity to understand anonymous, aggregate usage of the site itself — such as which pages are viewed and how visitors interact with them. This applies only to this website. The GambleBlur extension contains no analytics of any kind and never communicates with this website or any other server. See Microsoft's privacy statement for how Clarity handles data.

Children's privacy

GambleBlur does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Since the extension's design is no-collection by architecture, meaningful changes are not anticipated.
